Nickolas W. Jekogian III, President/CEO of NWJ Companies
Nickolas W. Jekogian, III is the founder, President and CEO of NWJ Companies. Mr. Jekogian founded the company while in college with the purchase of a small apartment building in Center City Philadelphia. Shortly thereafter he came to realize the inefficiencies inherent with small real estate businesses, the value of soliciting deals directly from sellers without the help of brokers, and the importance of allowing his employees to participate in the upside. Addressing these issues became the basis of his business model enhanced by remaining focused on underperforming "Class B" multi-family properties. Mr. Jekogian has built NWJ Companies into a fully integrated real estate company that owns and operates more than 4,000 apartment units throughout the United States with an aggregate value of over $300 million. With approximately 200 employees, NWJ Companies has garnered additional value by having construction, leasing, management, financing and brokerage capabilities as well. NWJ properties are managed by Signature Community Management, which is brand focused on customer service and providing residents with an enhanced living experience.

Mr. Jekogian is a licensed real estate broker in New York. He has a Business Administration degree from Drexel University and a Masters degree in Management from the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, Mr. Jekogian has more than 20 years experience developing commercial projects in the New York Metro area for retailers such as CVS drugs, Commerce Bank and Blockbuster Video. Mr. Jekogian currently resides in Manhattan with his wife and two young daughters. He is a competitor in Ironman level triathlons. Mr. Jekogian is a member of YPO.
